Ben Roethlisberger has been rather inconsistent in spreading the ball around this year. Antonio Brown has been there the whole time, but the other receivers have had their good games and then games where they haven’t seen hardly any targets. Jerricho Cotchery is too talented to not get the ball at least four or five times a game.

Jets coach Rex Ryan is a fairly confident character when it comes to his defense, but the prospect of facing Panthers quarterback Cam Newton gives him a little pause.

Newton is a really good athlete. Ryan is saying the right things leading into this week’s matchup in Carolina. While Newton has had a tremendouse season for the Panthers, Ryan should be encouraged for two reasons: Antonio Cromartie should be able to give it a go on Sunday and Newton had his worst game of the year last Sunday night in New Orleans.

This comes as no surprise. The Eagles offense has thrived ever since Nick Foles replaced Michael Vick as the starting quarterback. In Chip Kelly’s offense, Cooper has become the favorite target of Foles. The future is bright for the Philadelphia offense. As the show says, it’s always sunny in Philadelphia.
